Founder’s Message
Dear Guardians and Students,
Assalamu Alaikum.
Greetings and congratulations to all of you on behalf of myself and my family members. I sincerely apologize for not being able to give proper time to your beloved children due to my busy professional life and business responsibilities. However, in my absence, my wife Mrs. Zakia Ali Bhuiyan, my elder daughter Sanjida Bhuiyan Haque, and my younger daughter Rifat Ali Bhuiyan have been dedicating their time properly to the educational institutions founded by me. I request you to pray to the Almighty so that they may continue to serve you even more.
I strongly believe that the more educated a nation is, the more developed it becomes. To make a nation educated and advanced, women must be educated first and foremost.
I am an internationally renowned personality in the cultural arena. Through my visits and experiences in many developed countries of the world, I have observed that the nations where women are advanced in art, literature, culture, and science are more developed. With this belief, and with the aim of making women educated, aware, organized, income-generating, and self-reliant individuals, I established “Safura Khatun Pilot Girls’ High School” in 1977 in Siddhirganj Thana, naming it after my beloved mother, Mrs. Safura Khatun, with my own expenses and your cooperation.
Even at the final stage of my life, I continue to carry the torch of educational expansion with the goal of building an educated and developed nation. Keeping pace with the demands of the modern age, I am directly and indirectly monitoring the overall development of this institution like a vigilant guardian to ensure quality and world-class education through the blessings of technology.
I believe that education is the backbone of a nation. A developed nation requires an advanced education system. In this effort to build a bright future for your children, under my patronage, Godnail Preparatory School was established in 1978, Sumilpara School in 1984 (now Sumilpara Government Primary School), M.W. College (now Government Merchant Workers’ (M.W.) College), and Safar Ali Bhuiyan High School in 2004, where my wife serves as the Chairperson.
Friends, well-educated and talented students are the assets of a nation. Even after more than fifty years of independence, our country has not yet become free from hunger and poverty. Let us all work together to make the path of education smooth, balanced, and accessible for the next generation so that they can play a leading role in building a poverty-free, hunger-free, and prosperous Golden Bengal inspired by the spirit of the Liberation War.
Finally, I pray for everyone’s good health, happiness, and a peaceful life. May Allah bless you all.
Thank you.
